Description

This is the famous racehorse, Phar Lap.  He was a New Zealand bred thoroughbred who dominated Australian racing, winning 37 out of 51 starts during the Great Depression years.  He definitely caused some heated emotions and was shot at, but missed.  Another story says he was horse-napped and to escape he plunged with his rider over a cliff.  Yet another story determines he was poisoned with arsenic, which caused his death supposedly.  He is Breyer model #90 done in a fiery chestnut color.  He was produced from 1985-1988.  He has been shelf kept and is in great condition.  He has a chalky feel to him.
